Bitblock Boogie Woogie

May 2020

An interaction based on the Mondrian "Broadway Boogie Woogie" painting. I liked the idea of navigating the "traffic" of his painting with programmatic rules, it just looks so digital. In this interaction, I wanted to feel like you were programming against the frustration of traffic. Looking up/looking down as you figure out where you are going. Play by clicking the yellow/gray/blue buttons to shift which direction your cursor travels when it's on that color. Avoid the red squares as they will speed the game up and change the traffic pattern suddenly. Get your cursor to the flashing green square to win!
